Well, NHRA, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to cancel the Holley Hot Rod Reunion at Beechbend raceway in Bowling green Ky. No refunds! Credit only. And you had better email them soon, or your money is considered a donation the the museum! All you can do is get a credit to the Bakersfield meet in California, merchandise at the museum, or entry to the Hot Rod Reunion in 2021! Beechbend raceway is in full operation, so why is this race being cancelled? NHRA sure knows how to kill their own industry that's for sure!

I feel your pain. Beech Bend is NOT at full operation, just 50% of fans are allowed. This is the biggest moneymaker of the year for Dallas and the city of Bowling Green. NHRA originally rescheduled this race from Father’s Day to August due to the situation. They tried.....I understand your frustration, but the blame here lies with CHINA.....

So obviously NHRA is more concerned about the money from fans than it is about the racers. Sure seems funny how they are not giving refunds, since they, NHRA Museum, NOT beechbend decided to cancel this event. The dragstrip IS fully open for racers, so that tells you where NHRA's priorities are. Funny how they said, "Hurry, entry deadline soon approaching." just the week before canceling the event. I think it is absolutely wrong to not refund our entry fees. Who knows if people's plans will change for next year's event. Just another way NHRA is losing touch with the grass roots of dragracers that are the heart and soul of their industry. And I also noticed that the double divisional at Indy August 6th - 9th has been modified. It is now only a single divisional event that also has the pros racing Saturday and Sunday. SO...it sure seems like they are missing the entry fee money from the sportsman racers to support there events where the pro's are racing. The sportsman racers always seem to get kicked to the curb when it comes to decisions made by NHRA. They are going to see their industry dwindle away, and THEY will be the cause of their own demise. Wally must be turning over in his grave! Sad, this used to be a great association to be involved in. They sure are taking the fun out of it.
