Well, the way I'm reading it, if the wheel originally carried an SFI 15:1, 15:2, 15:3 cert. then it will need the SFI tag and will need to be re-certed when needed. For Stock.
I don't know just what wheels are going to be affected.

MJ, it appears if they were originally certified, they will need the sticker, if they weren't certified, they won't. How that relates to safety escapes me.
Make sure you tell you friend........... |

What it means is you can not remove the sfi sticker found on most racing wheels. If I doesn't have one then it doesn't need one. Some classes are required to have a certain sfi spec wheel. No changes other than the sticker must be present if its certified. No wheels we( stock eliminator) would use are required to be recertified. Carry on

I hope this applies to cars that need SFI wheels since I just peeled mine off.

The SFI stickers on my transmission came off so I’d just bring them to tech taped to a card, never had s problem. Mater of fact I just had the case re certified and that’s how they sent the new stickers.

I am all for safe racing! In 30+ years racing I have seen and experienced WAY more FRONT lightweight wheel failure than rear wheels. Although a car running 7’$ on a 9 inch tire is kinda spooky to me, particularly if chasing down a 15 second car on the top end. But that just me... There may be other things, that could be topping the Safty list. I
