On behalf of my parents, Mark & Elaine Nowicki, it is with profound sadness that I share the loss of my Mom. She passed away early this morning following a valiant four-month battle with pancreatic cancer. To my Dad, she was his everything: his best friend of over 50 years, his lover & wife of 47 years, the mother of me (his only child) & an exceptional homemaker, his encouraging cheerleader & consummate crew chief. However, on the day of her diagnosis in early September, the roles were immediately reversed between my parents and my Dad instantly became HER caretaker and cheerleader: a beautiful twist to their epic love story. While our heart breaks at her loss, we know the world, along with our racing community, was better having had her in it. God bless each of you for your thoughts, prayers, flowers, gifts, visits, text messages & telephone calls during her illness. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers, especially my Dad. And I thank you in advance for helping me prop him up as he grieves. May her soul rest in the peace of Heaven.
- Brandie (Nowicki) Meisner Her funeral arrangements are as follows: Nelson Funeral Home; Gaylord, MI Friday January 4, 2019 Visitation 12pm – 8pm St. Mary Cathedral Saturday January 5, 2019 Visitation 10am; Mass of Christian Burial 11am |

Sounds like an incredible woman. You must be very proud of her. The memories will last a long time. Stay strong for your Dad.

I am so sorry Mark, Brandie and the whole Nowicki family as I loved Elaine cause she always asked how i was doing and loved seeing and hearing about my grand kids. This is a big blow to me, she was a smiling face i always looked forward to at the races. Once again condolences to the whole Nowicki family.
