Please tell me some more about the 577 manifold? Per NHRA motor specs, the 184 intake is the only casting acceptable. Have I been living in "dark" for the past 25+ years??

The 577 intake is a legal replacement for the 184 and is a good choice!

the 3965577 intake was offered on the 1970 350 300 hp on various car models. This intake comes with an oil splash shield and has a cast "S" on the underside of the intake.

ya know i wondered about that.....we (dad& i) bought an engine from my uncle years ago...it was out of a 69 van.....now it said 350 300hp it had 441 heads with a 577 intake. on a differant note we also were given a 68 307 with a 184 intake on it.....this never happened ..did it?
