"LIVE" from the Ohio S/SS Nationals.
Looks like a good turnout today for the Combo race at the new Dragway 42. It was scenic drive through rural Ohio that included the towns of Nova and Homerville. I'll be back later with more news.

Today at Dragway 42 was an awesome race. The Raceway is top notch and very organized. The hills on both sides of the track give you a great view of the whole track and some great racing. The starting line was dead hooking all day long. Not one racer complained about traction. Thank you to Jack Porter for putting the race on, and Nitro Joe for Keeping thing rolling. Congrats to the Winner Bill Sempsrott in his stick shift Chevy II.

I think the official car count was somewhere between 77 and 80. The day went quick as there the bracket car classes were light. I have some photos that I'll get posted tomorrow. The N/SS cars helped the car count - about 12-14.

I'd like to thank everybody for the congrats. You just never know when you are going to have a day like this! Nitro Joe did a great job of keeping things moving so we could finish well before dark. Thanks Joe.
Thanks also to Jack Porter for having this race. I don't recall seeing such a great payout for a $100.00 entry fee. They even paid more racers than the scheduled purse called for! You can't beat that! Congratulations to the owners of Dragway 42. You have got to see this place!!! It is a really nice race track! I hope to race there again soon. And last but not least, I want to thank my lovely wife Donna. She helps keep the wheels turning. I couldn't do this without her! Thanks again! Bill S. |
