Clean machine! New car for you guys or is it a gradual re-do of a car you've had a long time?

We've owned the car since 1982. It was origanelly a 343 4speed car. The cars seen several make overs and this last transformation has taken 5 years but is nearing completion. The last time the car was raced it had a 9.5 to 1 390 with a hydraulic cam and 904 with a 3500 stall and 4.10s in the back and ran 11.50s at that time it had a 6 point mild steel bar and stockish suspenion.

Sounds like a nice project. Always loved the AMX.

Sweet car. When I was a kid Wally Booth lived in my neighborhood. I remember his son had a really cool AMX.

It would've been really cool to grow up near Wally Booth. here in Oklahoma we are a long ways from most of the really well known knowledgeable AMC people.

Cars together need to figure out why its twisting like this not something amx's normally do it's been a 6.80 at 101 in the 1/8th with a 1.48 60ft haven't got a good 1/4 mile pass out of it yet hopefully this weekend. but it goes really straight so no problem there i think it could use more gear too.
