Default Factory Showdown and the Stock Lader

Arnett goes home Watson gets in as alternate. How would it work if they already had first round and he was in the second round. Would he lose his first round points, would he be ineligible for the Showdown race? It would seem he could not race in two different eliminators with the same car, this is a definite NO NO with NHRA!

Sounds like the showdown format is still a work in progress, understandable, if they could only get mother nature on the committee things would go much better.

If they did not allow alternates then there would be no problem, but there would be a bye if someone couldn't make it. do I have that correct ?

After random pairing first round at Gators, the byes will go to the Showdown cars If they can get there. The Showdown cars are exempt from AHFS. This is not fair to the rest of the competitors in Stock Eliminator!

While having breakfast at the local watering hole, I spoke with another racer about FSX cars and stock eliminator. These are a few points that seem to offer a solution to the situation:

1. FSX cars don't need an index, fastest eight cars make the show.

2. FSX cars entered to run Factory Showdown, not stock eliminator.

3. FSX cars need there own show, it's only fair to the big three.

4. IF FSX alternate cars are allowed to enter stock eliminator, put them in a natural class at the correct weight for the class at the bottom of the sheet. Everyone has enough weight to make a car "Fit" the class.

With the FSX cars now in a natural class (FS/A, FS/B, FS/C) AHFS will apply to all runs in eliminations. This should help get the horse power in line, if and it's big if, any of the newer combinations are outline A.K.A. soft.

All Points Are Good Larry, Especially #3.
Didn't they have 15 or 16 FS/XX Cars ???
Let them run their own eliminator.
