Default Roll Bar Head restraint

Just finished my 8 point roll bar for my 65 Impala- do I also need to have a head restraint or "head rest" - Sorry, i don't have rule book and my NHRA membership ran out, I can't access the General Rules section-

Thanks Mark- I thought so- oh well off to Home Crapto in the morning for some metal-
Mark, I also like your V/S picture collection. My brother ran a V/SA 6 cylindr 69 Nova in the 80's ala Billy Nees, never could get it to run index though.

Please read the rule book before spending money on a home build solution to a safety thing. Accepted poly seats are something like $40.

EDIT: You need approved padding on any metal that contacts your helmet in a driving position.

OK, poly seat meaning racing seat. I personally like the look of my "stock" bucket seats in my "stock eliminator"car, but I can understand why people will use poly seats.
