Big deal. A 2008 Cobra Jet made this much power two years ago with stock eliminator cams. Chevrolet is still trying to catch up.

so it took the ford 3 years to get there, and the Chevy's there in less than two. Yep, they're behind

OK so if this Chevy engine makes 1110 HP and 850 TQ that comes out to about 3.39 HP per cube and 2.59 LB TQ per cube--- what is normal for a supercharged engine---the best NA Comp eliminator engines are only making about 2.7 HP per CI and Pro Stocks are making about 1300 HP or 2.6 HP per CI??? Or if we took off the supercharger what would the HP be for that engine???

Pro-stock is around 3hp per CI right now. Doing the quick dirty math with this particular engine is probably around 490-510 NA. It takes roughly 150hp to spin the Supercharger in this application. However without getting into a bunch of variables that's more of a S.W.A.G.(Scientific Wild ***** Guess)

There are a LOT of variables in a supercharged application to have a "normal" or "standard". Type off supercharger(roots, screw, centrifugal) size of supercharger and it's efficiency range, Engine and it's volumetric efficiency. Amount of boost(the measurement of back pressure in the system).

The better an engine is in NA form the better it will be in Supercharged form provided the type of fuel being used can support it.
