Does anyone know who has has success with this engine. I'd like to put one together but I'd like to talk to someone that will point me in the right direction and tell me the steps I need to take.
I don't know how stock engine builders work, but could I acquire parts (block, heads, intake etc) or should I let the the engine builder do it? I'd like to get pieces at time bc I can't afford to just have one built from scratch. But if buying parts over a certain amount of time is ok then I can afford it, but not knowing how engine builders go about building one is beyond me. Any help would be appreciated |

I think Joe DeMarzo runs that engine combo.

I would like to know the same information. I think the other option in the classification guide is 350-300 HP and the only difference is the heads and intake but I would guess the piston may be different too. Correct me if I am wrong but there were only two 350 combos available. I think DeMarzo has the 300 combo but I may be wrong. What would it take to make a 1969 from a 1970 car ????

The Block is the same for 250, 255, 300. Heads on the 250 and 255 are the same. 2v and 4v Manifolds interchange. Heads on 300 are the smaller chamber 462, 492' castings, uses the same 4v manifold. |

Joe is running his as a 72 350-200. Which is the same as the 71 350-250 engine other then I believe the intake. He has run very well with the combination as has John Gray. John recently built a 396 Camaro but his Nova was very fast. There is also someone in division three running this combination in a Nova but his name is escaping me at the moment.
I also have the same combination. Mine is a pretty new car only have about 12 runs on it. I run mine as a 72 as well. So far I have run -.50. We are still working the bugs out. I also now have a metric in it and with some more tuning it should run -.70 -.80 on a normal day. Mine has decent pieces in it however, it is far from being state of the art with all the bells and whistles. I think it is a pretty good combination as a whole. Rick |
