Mr. Kelly's Thunderbolt is one of the nicest and coolest cars I've ever seen. It's obvious everyone involved building the car spent a TON of time and money getting every single thing perfect. If he does not win best engineered and/or best appearing at Indy, I will be shocked. Also, someone told me that it's a real Thunderbolt that he bought new, which makes it 10x more awesome.

Dallas' car was sold new at Al Means Ford in Decatur, GA. in 1964 to David Harrell. It was called the Crop Duster and run out of the "Horsepower Sales" shop. You may have heard of the guy who ran that shop, Phil Bonner....
Yes, it's a real DST built Thunderbolt. Dallas' car has been used for what it was designed for from day one, a race car!! He just completed a six year redo of the car and it is awesome.

In my opinion, this has been a big dream for Dallas. He has completed a beautiful upgrade of his Thunderbolt to todays level of SS car. I believe he deserves Best Engineered at Indy. A true labor of love. Good Luck Dallas. This is just the start for this car. He will make the improvements in an orderly fashion and he will be in the mix at the top of this class with time.

SS/B will be fun. Adams ran 9.04 or so, but the Audiocast said "only 133" mph. Paquet was 150.
Ah, the games we play in Class Racing... ![]()
