BJRE SST Series Race 1@ Pacemakers Sat May 12

Hey everybody, a new year and race 1 of the Bill Jackson's Racing Engines SST Series at Pacemakers will be this Sat, we have all kinds of things going on during the event. Friday night starts off with a T-N-T deal for all SST racers, pay your $50 entry fee for Sat's event and it only cost you an extra $10 to test (total $60). Gates open at 9am Sat (NO JR's this weekend) with TT's starting at noon. The 2 qualifying runs for SST will be at 230 and 4pm with round one starting 6pm. We do ladders and run on a 7.00 index.

Nitro Joe, Bill and everybody else involved you guys did a good job.
We had fun except for a first round red.
This was our first time running these races, first time at Pacemakers and the first time running 1/8 mile in Super Street. We will hopefully be back for the next race.
I think there was 34 cars entered.

Had a great night of SST racing Pacemakers style, 37 cars entered, 3 broke before qualifying, 34 car field, Brian Webster with his 400 ci 87 Regal won over Steve Bates Nova. Mark Cook in Ronnie Laymons Camaro was lone semi finalist. I will have round by round stats posted soon. Thanks to all that came and supported a new year of Bill Jackson's Racing Engines SST Series at Pacemakers.
Dan Funk won the friday night SST gambler race and won the $25 best losing package in rd 1 presented by J&T Vinyl Graphics
John Shearl was #1 Qualifier and received the $50 Jenkins Welding & Fab "Top Gun" award
I'm working on it today to see who won the Joy Smith Motorsports "Best Package of the Event" award as there was great racing and some really great packages laid out there. Will post winner soon that will receive $50.
I would also like to thank my brother-in law, Mike Price for helping me out tonight, he was a big help to me.
