I think you missing a zero from that 40 runs figure. ( I usually go about 80-100)
Some of the top sportsman guys change their tires that frequently but they usually run 16" tires and bead locks the prostock guys also run 16" and change them even more frequently and if there is a national event in your area there will be a fresh supply of used 16' tires providing you have some 16" rims to mount them on.

Brian ,I've got 3 pairs of 16x33's with around 65 runs on them ,but they are DO5's .
Never liked the way the car handled down track with CO7's.
PM me if you're interested.

I run the C07 compound on my car and it works very well down track. Now when I had the C06 compound on it, that was a differant story. Felt like it was on marbles on the top end.
Tom, I thought your car made pretty good power, I'm surprised that the
D05's work for you

Chuck, I've used DO5'S a few years ago, I've been using the CO6's on my car for the last couple of seasons, and for my setup they are preferable to the CO7's .
I have a fairly hi weight bias on the rear, and I use a fairly small spoiler with minimal downforce.
Plus I mostly race on some pretty good tracks, which makes tire selection a lot less critical.
