Default Front control arm bearings.

I would like to replace my much worn control arm bushings with bearings. Does anyone know who makes a good set for a 1981 Cutlass? I am working on setting this up as a stocker with a 307 olds motor. Thanks in advance.

I'm with him! Leave the rubber bushings in it. You won't be sorry.

Wisecarver roller bearings if cost isn't an issue

Wink Re: Front control arm bearings.

Thanks yall. I think I'll get the del-a-lums they seem to be the best option. I have been really looking at the suspension and chasis before putting money into a stocker motor and without help I would be buying more parts that would just sit and collect dust.

I've had good luck with the afco steel bushings. They are a lot less money that the del-a-lum ones and work very well. No drag at all.

Why not use polyurethane bushings ? I always thought they would be smoother dynamically than rubber.

Poly tends to bind when all parts are compressed. Smoothed out rubber is better, a true bearing is best (but you can run into frame problems with a bearing because of towing and metal fatigue).
