Weather forecast for Marion, SD, this weekend looks great. Sunny skies with temps in the high 70's, low 80's.

For class racers who have not had an opportunity to race this year, what better place. 2 days, 2 races, 3 qualifying passes each day plus elims.

The worst case, 8 hits. A good way to shake off some rust.

Remember, $1000 guaranteed to win each day plus round money starts with first round winners.

Class racers from the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Omaha, Lincoln, you can leave after your morning plate of eggs and still be there in time for the first qualifier at 3 pm Saturday. If you are really good, get there by 5, one hit and race at 6.

So go load the trailer right now and we will see you this weekend at Thunder Valley.

Ron

Beautiful weather! Rick said there were 28 cars on Saturday, and 29 today.

The winner on Sat. night was Rod Negebauer and Jon Christensen was runner-up.

Sundays winner was Dennis Nelson with Rick Ryan the runner-up.

I hope to be there myself next time, and hope to see more of the Minnesota cars there too.

I'm sure more information will come in the weeks leading up to the event, but does anyone in MCR know what the payout will be? How many qualifying runs each day? Sportsman laddar or Pro laddar? Are the scales working at I-Drags?

See ya in Staging!

Isn't the S/ss combo at Interstate Dragways in June a official *USA* S/ss Association event not a Midwest Class Racer's event or have they both joined forces that weekend[:-smilearound-:]??? Talk about a big payout if they have probley be a good $2,000 to win with 32 cars each day???

It is a USA race for sure it is on there schedule. I would love to see each group involved. I believe that they did a race together last year at Thunder Valley. One organization running each day would be fine with me.
