I have a 66 Nova we are switching to disc brakes. We have used a kit that adapts factory single piston calipers front and rear.
What I am wondering is there a factory type master cyl. I can use on this type of system such as the Mid Seventies corvette like this one? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DHB-M36367/ And what size bore do I need, 1.00 or 1.250. I am planning to add a proportioning valve to the rear wheels as well. Any help would be appreciated

The Vette 1.25 dual cyl works ok on cars with 1 3/4" 4 piston calipers on the back and 2 pistons on the front ,so with 4 Metric size GM calipers on ,I'd think the volume necessary would be about the same.. .............Tom

Depends on the pedal ratio. ....Check your ratio ,if it's over 7 to 1, I'd use the 1 1/4" ,under 7 to 1, I'd consider the smaller bore. .....A lot depends on the bore of the calipers. ...does the manufacturer make any recomendations ?.....Tom

We are basically building the front starting with some Caliper brackets and spindles I got as a kit. They use rotors from a Chevelle and the calipers from a 70 camaro. The rear kit uses the "metric" GM calipers. I will have to check on the pedal ratio, the Nova still has the stock pedal. It should have a pretty good ratio, it was a manual brake car originally
