Default Chevelle Laguna?

Can someone tell me what years Chevrolet produced the Chevelle Laguna model and what engine options they had, and finally do you know of any ever being campaigned in stock classes and what combos/classes with any success? Much thanks. WJ

produced from 73 to 76. Google "Chevelle Laguna" and you will pull up the history on this model. Someone runs a '74 Chevelle in stock with a 400 small block combo in M/SA.
I also remember Lee Valentine's Dad, Sir Tom Valentine running a '73 SS in stock with the 454 big block combo back in the '70s in Div. 1

There is nothing in the world heavier than the front bumper of a 1974 Laguna. A friend and I hauled one across Carlisle one day and it just about killed us. That rubber stuff is real dense.

I bought a 1973 Chevelle Laguna in 1984, had a 454 with a quadrajet. I am sure this was a really nice car when new, the interior was pretty neat. Had swivel 'captain's chairs' buckets up front and a nice guage package, I think a factory tach.

I don't know anything else about those cars, I didn't have mine long. It was rusted so bad I couldn't put anything in the trunk as it would come out the sides of the quarters (seriously) and a friend of my dad's put it on a lift on his service station, looked under it, then let it back down. I asked him what the problem was, he looked at me and said-

"That car is about to break in half!"

I pulled the drivetrain and sold the body to a junk yard, and traded the motor soon after.

Ineed those rubber front ends were heavy. Everything about that car was heavy.

Guess the weight is why you hardly see any running stock, but they look like they'd cut thru the air better than many cars that are running as stockers....lots of engine options 400 smallblock, bigblock, etc. Killer (heavy) bumpers just like the Monte Carlos...hmmm. Are the Lagunas 3800-4000 lbs w/ BB motor, or more? Thanks. WJ
