Default ss/gt wieght

I am tring to fiqure the correct total weight for my combination. Is this correct , I have a base model 1983 camaro and am looking at the 1969 350/255hp combination factored to 294hp. The rule book states you have to use the heaviest combination for the year of body being used and if I am thinking correctly I would then use the berlinetta with an automatic which going by the classification guide shows 11.53 factor and 273 hp which gives me a wieght of 3148lbs. Next I should divide this by the factored 294hp which gives me a wieght break of 10.70. At this point I'm assuming I need to add 170lbs to the curb wieght of 3148, which gives me the weight of 3318lbs. Did I do this correctly and if I did is this the minium wieght I can run? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Quote from the rules book(Shipping weight will be determined by using the power to weight factor of the vehicle with the heaviest "GASOLINE ENGINE" and appropriate transmission,) I.E. 83 Camaro (Model of your choice) with the heaviest engine will be your ship wt. divided by your choice of power = your lbs. per. HP.

Rick,, I believe that if you are using a base camaro, you would use the base camaro weight from the factory with a "V8". Do not use the other model camaro weight unless you are using that body. e.g. if you are using a Z28 hardtop, use the v8 z28 hardtop weight. If you are using a Z28 Camaro, use the factory z28 camaro convertible weight. Make sure that you are using the V8 column and add the 170 pounds for the driver. Also make sure that you a using the same transmission in you calculation that are using. Meaning if you are running an automatic, figure with V8 and automatic. Hope everyones info helps u.

You need Microsoft excel.

NOTE: I have not updated this with the new indexes! I might do that tomorrow, and will post a new link.
