Looking for engine builders in California

I have a relative in Central California who's looking for a reliable and reasonable engine builder to freshen a SBC sprint car motor. Preferebly nothing farther south than Orange County or north of Monterey County. FYI Shaver is out of the question.....too high $$$. Any suggestions?

Gary,

There are a number of good engine builders in California.
A few that come to mind are:

(1) Bob Lambeck....North of Los Angeles
(2) Don Little....Westly CA
(3) Steve Wann....Modesto CA
(4) Randy Loge....Brentwood, CA

Gary, I know this is a little farther north than you stated but there is a guy in Gilroy who has been building
roundy round stuff for many years his name is Cres Martinez from Gilroy Automotive Machine, His Price's are good and he builds allot of Late Model, Sprint and Stock Car stuff His info is (408) 842- 7937

Sargent Racing.com they might be able to give him some help.

I've heard of 90% of them, and like the idiot I am, I even have a mutual friend who uses Lambeck....why I couldn't think of that on my own...must be my age passing my memory LOL.
