Default Thanks Findell, Mosbek, and Wann for the Hp!

Well since I have been racing in stock eliminator (4 years) myself, Mr.Jerry Davis and The Cottens have been very careful to protect our combinaton. When I bought the car my dad and I weighed all the factors out and the 340 Duster was the best combination to do what we set out to do; go fast, win and eventually win class at Indy. Well, now in my fourth season we are still constantly watching out and protecting the combination. For example, this year at the Cajun Sports Nationals I let out at the 1/8 mile and gave up class because I didn't want hp on the combo. I know everyone wants to win class at Indy, but to go out and blatantly hammer the index with three different cars is just braindead. I know I went out there last year and hit the 1.15 at Indy, but if you notice Jerry Davis didn't even go to Indy last year because he knew we would get hp! Oh, and don't forget Mr. Mike Cotten who took a DIVE in the 2nd round of class to protect it! Pretty smart huh? We have all been racing in Division 4 for 4 years and can all easily go 1.15 under any time any place, and still to this day we haven't earned any hp on our combo. Why? Because we play it smart when we need to. I guess everyone there just got caught up in the "I'm faster than you are" and "mine is bigger than yours" game and had to show their *****. Well hope ya'll plan on working this winter to overcome the 7hp were gonna get. Unless you can play it smart and hit a few national events to lower the average. Then we will only get 4hp, which quite frankly won't slow me down a bit. I watched Wann do it last year with the 360 combo after he got hit...........Oh, and we skipped Indy this year so we can go to Las Vegas and show everyone how fast our car really is.........Without getting hp!

P.S.
I hate ranting on the Internet, but I don't have any of your numbers to call. So if you wanna chat you can call me any time. (936)672-7867

Its because of guys like you and those who race like you in todays 1 + under stock eliminator fields is one reason that the AHFS dosent work as originaly intended.

No offense, but if everybody can go 1.15 under with that combo, then shouldn't it get hp?

Your Indy class win last year *was* really cool - was glad to see it!

Well i run a E/SA Fairlane and i would not stand a chance against there combo. I hope NHRA will pay close attention to these posts. The numbers speak for them selves.

I think the sport is called "racing" for a reason.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous posts that I have ever read on the internet.A couple of cars are at the most prestigeous DRAG RACE of the year, and DRAG RACE their cars ALL OUT (might be able to go even faster) and they get called out by name for going TOO FAST!
As long as their cars are legal (pass tech),I congratulate them on their efforts, for racing ALL OUT!

It's not like that combination doesn't need it...
