Question Front Passenger Seat Removal

It has been brought to my attention in another thread that I am a big cheater for electing to sometimes run in D/SA to avoid some heads up runs in my division by weighing in at 3800 pounds.
I would like to start a discussion as to why or why not should the front passenger bucket seat be allowed to be removed.NOBODY SITS THERE ANYWAYS!
While it may take away from the "stock appearance",I think wheelie bars do to.If wheelie bars are required for safety, then why not allow lightweight race seats?
In all honesty,I really think the original rule should have been left alone. You must run your original class,or drop down one.I realize that there is no going back to that, but the seat is allowed to be removed in TOP STOCK,so why not STOCK?

Wheelie bars are not required.

I don't really have an opinion on the passenger seat issue. (I have a bench seat, anyhoo)

I only use one seat & one door, maybe doors can be removed before they get blown off.....

Buy an old London taxi made by Austin. No front passenger seat included at no extra cost.
Or maybe you can convince tech that your 442 came with no dashboard, backseat, rugs, insulation.Pretty silly right?Dont be so thin skinned about being called a class dodger,it's done all the time, sometimes by the elite stock class racers.

What does a seat weight, 25lbs, is it really worth it? I think cars with one seat look STUPID. Even POS Bracket Cars we have owned have always have 2 seats.

Hey, if you can't legally make D then ADD weight and go to F! That's why they had to change the rule, to give everybody the ability to run more classes! If you don't need to fit the class that you're running then what's next? You can move up or down 5 classes?

Nice, isn't a stocker basically a POS bracket car, just more expensive? I like stockers and bracket cars and I don't think either looks stupid with one seat.

I'll second that...

However, race cars just don't look right without the second seat.
