Well, we've got another NHRA cut-back !
Starting this year you WONT be getting a medal with your wally for a National event win. Proof was the 'Waternationals' at Pomona from the winners circle and confirmed by Mike Rice (DD 7). Add this to the $5.00 increase in crew passes, on-line ticketing, lack of track personnel (with lower pay) and no sheets on the credential trailer window. At least gas prices are supposed to drop again.

Pretty soon you won't get a wally the way they are going, just a cheap certificate

Wasn't a certain divisional director quoted as saying we should be happy racing for trophies, well seeing as that's being taken away, why are we supposed to race for now?

You left out the comical part where the end of the trailer where all the run order and qualifying sheets go was behind a fence so you could not get to them anyway.

I was thinking about this a little more and I don't get it !! The medals have always had the series sponsor on them, Federal Mogul, Lucas Oil. Wouldn't this mean that it's in the sponsorship budget for these? Is NHRA stopping the medal and just putting the savings into their hands???
Things that make you go UMMMM

The best will be that the Wallies will be made out of a recycled material soon. This way NHRA can say that they are going "green"! More "green" in their pockets and less "green" to the people who bring the show. Imagine, a Wally made from recycled coke bottles (keeping the big sponcer happy) or even from old recycled plastic bags from past events that weren't given out! NHRA going green, yeah that's the ticket! LOL!
