Well for all you Guys and Gals that have been interested in the Index changes for 2009, i have been informed that there will be no change in the index's or to the trigger, it all stays the same.

Woodro's right . I just got the e-mail that he did. This tells you all how much influence the SRAC has. We voted 6 to 1 to lower the indexes 2 tenths and leave the hp triggers where they are. As some of you know I voted against this. The larger point is that we as The SRAC have had very little if any meaningful input into what happens to Stock and Super Stock. It's almost like anything we vote for gets shot down because we are for it. This change passed the Stock- Super Stock committee and the div. directors committee before being canned by the rules committe in Glendora.

Woodro, Greg and all members of the committee: your efforts as a voice for the sportsman racer are still appreciated, regardless of the outcome on NHRA's end.

Thank you for your efforts. We were afraid that would be the result. Again Thanks to Len Imbrogno who had that similar experience in his time at NHRA.

Woody, You know I appreciate all you and the SRAC have tried to do. I think we all knew this would be the outcome. Len had enough of it, I don't blame him! His head was bloody from hitting the brick wall daily. Thanks to you and the other members of the SRAC. Jim

Woodrow, Jeff and all on the SRAC, I also declare my support and appreciation.
Woodrow, do you know who ultimately makes such decisions? I know there was a document published that describes the process, but such a document is like a corporate organizational chart - somebody's wish about how things are done. Personality and relationships carry the power. |
