“Live” from our Bread basket tour!!
Welcome to St.Louis and the beginning of our tour of the middle of the good old USA!! We are in stacking here for the Mello Yello national event!! We are around #10 or so I think but nobody is numbering us. Stacking began at 7 this morning and we arrived about 12:30 and rigs are lined up on the road that runs beside the track as in years past. Hopefully someone will start numbering soon.
Our plans are to start here, then Great Bend, KS next week for the double Div 5 divisional, then Dallas national, then Noble, OK for Div 4 divisional, then finish off back here in St Louis for Div 3 divisional !! So if the car cooperates and everything else goes well, we will be gone for about a month and take in 2 nationals and 4 divisionals!! More later!! |

Re: “Live” from our Bread basket tour!!
What Patsy failed to mention is we are in need of recommendations of good local places to eat. I always enjoy eating great food with a local flavor and trying some of the local dishes that are not local bill of fare where we live. And fun and interesting places to go and see inbetween races.
So let's hear what and where we need to go! |

Sounds like a fun trip. Shouldn't be too hard to find good places to eat. Enjoy the sights and have a safe trip.
Hope the car exceeds all your expectations. You know some final rounds would be awesome.

Word of caution---HEADS UP---- If you go out driving around in either East St Louis---ILLINOIS or ST Louis--- MISSOURI--- ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT be extra careful lots of bad neighborhoods in both areas--- you can get into trouble real quick --low income and desperate folks will think nothing of robbing you---If you are not sure about an area ask BEFORE you go!!! Not trying to scare you just telling you like it is--Have fun good luck at the races BE SAFE!!!---FED 387

Re: “Live” from our Bread basket tour!!
Thanks for the warnings!!
There are quite a few rigs that have pulled in this afternoon ! They are supposed to pull us in starting at 7 am. I haven’t seen any NHRA officials around here today. Still no numbering! There are 2 lanes and supposedly there are going to take turns with each lane. I guess we will see in the morning! |
