63 1/2 Galaxie 500
I know this isn't racing related but, hoping the thread stays and I get some response.
I am currently looking at a 63 1/2 Galaxie 500XL Fastback. It has 390 badging on fenders, interior is pretty bad, no headliner, ripped up bucket seats, dirty, etc. The motor is a little grimy. Owner says its a Fla car, only 43k on the clock. Body has had a repaint, it and the frame are real solid. My questions to any Blue Oval heads on this site,..... any idea's what may be a fair price for this car? One recently was listed for sale at $5800.00 OBO, I have several adds from other classifieds that list them around $3500.00 to 10k plus. Really trying to get a solid idea of a fair price. Also, any info on where to find option codes, serial number info that tells what this car is as far as options etc. any help is very appreciated! Thanks! |

Re: 63 1/2 Galaxie 500
A buddy of mine has a an extremely nice '64 that all black inside and out & is a 390 4-speed. He wants $19,500. If the exterior (paint, chrome, glass) is real nice on the one your looking at, and the engine / trans / suspension are good, then $7500 or so sounds about right. Deduct if drive train & suspension are less than desirable

Jeff,
Thanks for your answer...very appreciated. The interior of the car is in real bad shape...perhaps that will knock the price down some. Anyway, appreciate the input. |
