IHRA cars are allowed to run at NHRA tracks, as long as the cars fit within the rules and there is a class for them.

I have a IHRA stocker and was told that I would not be able to race at Brainerd. At MWCR?.

In regards to your IHRA Stocker, the only track that I have seen them run
at is Marion, SD, at their IHRA sanctioned track. All S/SS cars at the MCR
races I have run there, run off of the last published IHRA indexes. As most
here realize, they are essentially the NHRA indexes plus 3 tenths, with
provisions for unique IHRA classes, I.E. crate motor, etc. I believe the balance of tracks the MCR races at are NHRA sanctioned, and I have not
seen them run the "OLD" IHRA indexes and rules. Additionally, Division 2 allows IHRA S/SS cars to run at their National Opens only, due to sheer volume of IHRA cars in that area. I believe when reading that ruling allowance quite a ways back, it was so that IHRA S/SS racers would not be immediately orphaned, and would have a reasonable time period to change their cars over to NHRA status. IHRA no longer supports the cars that old rules allowed, I don't know how we expect NHRA to support them. The horse has been out of the barn for quite a while now, it might be time to modify your car to NHRA rules, or be happy running in Marion, where they welcome IHRA cars and indexes with open arms, in a very well run program.

I have attended MCR races at Marion so that I can spend time with my friend Steve Koppien, and others I have met over the years, and I particularly like to support the Make A Wish race in the fall. Meeting all of those amazing children and their parents is a humbling experience for sure, and
anything we can do to help our fellow man or woman, is worth doing, always.

Is your car Stock Production or some other class that does not exist in the NHRA guide?

No class for my car in nhra rules . But really what difference does it make, not trying to set a record or gain points. Trackings are crying about money but turn down people take want to race.
