1997 Mustang V6 Q/R or T/SA
So my brother Rob wants too race in Stock Eliminator. Originally we were going to start with a 1982 Z28 Camaro 305 he is in the process of going thru, but his wife Jane has a 1997 Mustang ragtop with the 232 V6, so to try something different will build this car. Car will fall in Q/R or T/SA seems like T at heavy weight still with 14.40 index seems attainable.
232 V6 150 HP NHRA rated 170 Seems to be a basic OHV engine, same design since early 80's suppose to have been based on the Buick V6. OK compression, aluminum heads, even firing offset crank journals, fuel injection. Going to replace overdrive tranny with a C4, already working on replacing 7.5 rear with 8.8 with Moser spool, axles, c-clip eliminator and 5:14 gears. Looks like a fun ride. Don't forget the roll bar.
