Jim Boburka - Indy 1979
My friend, Larry Rose, had several rolls of developed slide film that had never been cut into slides, from the 1979 U.S. Nationals (Silver Anniversary). He let me borrow them and I had them scanned. Larry and his friend Buddy Houts, a sports writer at one of Chattanooga, Tennessee's newspapers, went to several NHRA races and had photog. credentials, so they were able to get right on the starting line. Most of their film was black and white, but luckily they had some color film with them.

Re: Jim Boburka - Indy 1979
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but believe Boburka bought that car brand new (Z28, I think?) and it was never driven on the street, but developed into a race car from the git-go...
