Sept 21-22nd at Lebanon Valley
The final 2013 race weekend for All Star Racing Association is upon us and it is shaping up to be a great one. The 16 car prequalified Whitehead Motors Shootout and a gamblers race on Saturday and the final race of our 6 race series on Sunday. The Shootout will have our largest purse ever and the final race will be full of excitement as our Banks points race is very close.
1. The 16 cars and drivers and 2 of the alternates get in free for the shootout. Give your name at the gate and they will let you in , crew must pay, and if you are running the gamblers race, you must pay the test and tune price. 2. The list of the shootout qualifiers is listed in another post here and your news letter 3. 9 am is the start time on Saturday, the 1st shootout time trial is scheduled for 10 am 4. We suggest if you are in the top 25 or so, to show up early saturday, most years we have some alternates get into the shootout. Two years ago was the only year that everyone was there. You will need to pay the test and tune price. and can test, to get ready for sunday, and , or run the gamblers race. 5.Our plan is to have the gamblers race start after the 1st or 2nd round of the Shootout race and some racers that lose early in the shootout may be able to get into the gamblers race. There are many things that could change this (weather, oildowns etc) You must pay the test and tune fee to the track and the gamblers race entry if you are in the shootout and decide to run the gamblers race 6. Shootout racers will get 2 time trials, assuming there are no weather issues. 7. Gamblers racers are basically running with test and tune and a gamblers race will be run and organized by Greg and the board members. 8. Alternates in the shootout are put into the spot of the racer that doesn't show in the order of their alternate status. We don't re-shuffle the whole ladder when someone doesn't show. 9. Whatever class you are running e/sa , f/sa or g/sa etc must be on your car , all windows, when you enter the staging lanes for you first time trial , no changing of classes. This applies to the shootout and our regular race, long standing rule, just a reminder. Congrats to all the Shootout qualifiers, ASRA has a special T shirt for the 16 shootout qualifiers, it will be a good purse, good luck to all. Sponsors for the shootout this year are, Diamond RV , Eastern VP Fuel , Moroso , Reids Automotive , RCE machine , Ultimate Converters , AJM Racing , and Lee Valentine. Thanks a bunch to this group. Thanks to all, from your ASRA Board of Directors

OK Lets see how we all feel about the shootout. No pressure but lets all pick who we think will win this year..... I am in it so I will not be picking... I have a feeling most will show up... Come on people.. no hard feelings , just for fun. Mike Dunn has his top picks. To be honest, I am not even picking me.... I Have Mark Markow or Bob Broadbent...... OK you made me pick.....
