Default New flywheel rule

Has NHRA come with a defined breakdown of the rule on flywheels (flexplates) other than all v8 stock and superstock.

Hi Glen! NHRA's concern with these flexplates involves the starter ring gear flying apart. Now in the real world where people understand and realize what they're talking about and making rules for, if I need an SFI approved flexplate to ensure that my starter ring gear isn't going to break off and hurt a spectator then you and any other Mopar SHOULD have an SFI approved torque converter!

Talked to R. Silvy in NHRA tech dept. he said the stock/superstock commitee made the rule for flywheel(ring gear) . He said nothing he can do about it.I can submit a Email to him and he would pass it on .Also by rule book , superstreet is not required to have 29.1 flexplate. That is a 10.90 class. He would not give me any other people to talk to. Not a good system.

You can run 10.00 and 134 in a bracket car before you need an SFI approved flexplate but I need one in my high 12 second Stocker.
Common sense would dictate that a "safety" ruling such as this would be based on E.T., not Class.

My point also. What are mopar guys going to do ,the ring gear is part of torque coverter, and I can't find a sfi 29.1 torque converter.
