Hey brother we know it has been a journey, but great job today. That will pick your spirits up!! The Rednecks in Houston Tx spilt their beer 3 times cheering you on. We were doing a wave and still sober enough could standup on our own....

Thank you man, I really appreciate it! Despite 3600#s of 4 door wagon, a 305, quadrajet, no 2-step, and a hand shifted 3 speed, the car is unbelievably predictable... until it wasn't. The race was so spread out that at the round of 3 was the first time I'd actually hot lapped it all weekend. Did not see it picking up a tenth in 30 minutes. But hey, now I know, right?
It was an awesome weekend in which I got matched up with some serious heavy hitters, especially landing on Cody Phillips (reigning #3 finisher in the world last year) first stinking round. All in all the weekend went better than I ever could have hoped. I had already made plans that if I'd gotten beat first round Saturday morning I was gonna load up and head out to Union County Dragway to bracket race and get more seat time. As luck would have it I got to stick around until Sunday night which was absolutely awesome. Would have been amazing to get to the final but I'm not disappointed at all, the hard work has made it all worth it and I'm beginning to see some daylight!

I did not appreciate the fact that when i would run i am now known as Ed Pauley.....Dawsons Dad by the announcers.
ep-i am proud and humbled by how many people came up to me this weekend expressing their thoughts about Dawson. and yes all said hey are you Dawsons Dad? Dawson will win in his stocker. i am predicting it here. he just needs a little racing luck at the right time. he is driving great. |

Dawson is just a working guy like many of us. Has limited resources to make things work, does so much on very little you cannot help but cheer him. No doubt that he will win some races this year

![]() I hope that day comes and we can all celebrate together. It takes a village and I certainly wouldn't be here without mine!
