Default 2025 Winternationals

This will no doubt, be a memorable Winternationals. Even though my efforts were futile, I had a great time. It was so awesome to see some really, really GREAT people have an incredible outing. A first time winner in Super Stock and a long time Stock veteran on a long haul trip of a lifetime, and reppin the middle class cars very well, will definitely make the 65th Winternationals a story worth sharing forever.

I had the pleasure to line up against Bob Bender in Q2, and I was giddy as a kid when I rounded the corner for staging seeing that big ole wagon all alone...at the front...of course I couldn't believe I beat Pete Lanciers to the lanes for that one. Bob is one genuine dude I'm glad I got to meet. It was sooo cool to see him go rounds and race on SUNDAY!!

I didn't get to take as many photos as I wanted. So, I'll just share the best I could get. Congratulations to Jeff Adkinson and John Winslow on their wins.

Default Re: 2025 Winternationals

Justin here is the story of my first Winternational.
Some time in 2007 was talking to my buddy Jim Storms about builing a stocker, wanted a new challenge in racing set my S/ST car a side and try stock. Storms said before you build a car drive mine (72 Cuda) to make sure you like it. That winter we tore apart the cuda to clean alot of things up. Motor went to Bob Lambeck. We clean the Car up I enter the 2008 Winternational, so off we go on a trip to Pomona, both Phoenix races, Tucson, both Vegas and Boise on our way home. I forgot to mention on the way to Pomona we have to stop at Lambeck shop for the motor when we got there late monday night I think we pull up behind Lambeck shop with our rigs and sleep there. Bob showed up in the morning saw us already there and asked when we got there we said last light, he said this isnt a good place to stay at night. We hung out clean up our rigs till the motor was done. Then it was off to the dyno room for the break in. We unload the car in one of Bob's shop, drop the motor in made a small mess and cleaned it up. loaded it up and off to Pomona. First time ever driving a stocker was to tech. Then the learning curve started boy did I suck LOL. My first round oppenent was the legendery Jim Waldo.I got my first round loss to him. We had so much fun that trip. In Vegas cant remember if it was the national or divisional, I got anther world champ in the second round by the name Jimmy DeFrank I had never met him before. After the run we talked what a humble and gracious guy I have ever met in drag racing. After that trip started looking for the mustang I have now, bought a street driver and built it to what it is today. That is my story of my Introduction to stock eliminator.
