No Silver Dollar or Galot in D2 for 2025. Doubles at South Georgia and Rockingham instead. Cecil moved to October in D1. Will be fast ! Cecil and the Rock overlap each other. Not good !

NHRA hates working people.
Enough with the doubles! Especially Wednesday-Saturday doubles. |

Galot is now WDRA and Silver Dollar, well...... it was going to tax foreclosure for non payment of back taxes, figuring the operator spent it on drugs since he was arrested a few weeks back for felony possession of narcotics. Not spreading rumors, just stating public knowledge. No other tracks available for Div 2.

Enough with the doubles! NHRA continue’s to make it impossible for the normal working people to race division races!

You do understand that there are many racers that lobby for doubles. This wasn't done out of spite by NHRA, they listened to those who have been pleading for them.

I like Thursday -Sunday doubles. The farther you have to travel to race the more attractive they are.

I personally love the doubles, I think you need to look at it this way, normally you would have 7-8 weekends traveling for an event, so for the working man that is most likely 7 or 8 Wed, Thurs, Friday and depending how far you are Monday off from work (28 or 32 days), now you have a Double in which you get two races and only have to take Tues, Wed, Thur & Fri off (Depending on the Division your taking 4 or 8 days off for 2 or 4 races) because you travel home on Sunday. In D1 we now cut 2 weekends off of traveling (We last had 8 races in 2022 with 2 Atco events, but VMP got cancelled so we still only had 7) and now get 2 races at probably the two toughest tows on tour (VMP & Numidia) and add if Ken has the CR Nationals you go to Numidia for 3 events for 1 tow.
The only downfall I see is everyone is going to have a Grade 8 in 2026 and trying to get into a National Event just became tougher. I can say these "Doubles" are needed for the track owners to get a good car count to make the Divisionals worth their time, a lot of these track owners are on the fence about hosting Divisionals anymore, it's easy to host a T&T or a Big Money Bracket Race with Buybacks that they can make cash on and most need 2 events to break even for the weekend, when you add TAFC & TAD into the mix in which they don't really pay an entry and the track has to pay the purse, a lot of these tracks don't want them. I've said it for a while now, these guys are mostly business owners, they need to find sponsors to help bring them into these events, look at all the new classes added to the LODRS series over the past 10 years - all have had a major sponsor backing them - TD & TS has Right Trailers and before Vortech SC, Factory X has Holley, Factory Stock has had Multiple sponsors, Pro Mod has a new sponsor each race, the bottom line is the track owners don't want to foot the bill anymore and I talk to a few of them on a regular basis.
