Very cool site, thanks for the link, Billy. Interesting to see some Stock S/S racers then that moved into Top Fuel and Funny Car classes down the road. Also some pretty interesting looking headers and traction devices on many of the cars. Some pretty sketchy looking trailer, ramp trucks, and tow vehicles by modern standards, but I guess they were not all that old at the time. Still, towing with a 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column with a non syncro 1rst gear, 4 wheel manual drum brakes, and no trailer brakes, must have made for some white knuckle hauls.
