Default The rain nationals

WOW, did I have a good time at the LODRS at National Trails. Arrived on Friday and saw at least 600 entries. Boy did it rain. Going back to the motel in Zanesville we got hung up on I-70 due to the monsoon that was coming down. AND YOU THINK THAT RACERS ARE CRAZY. It took us at least 90 minutes to travel twenty miles. I must have been hallucinating in that I could have sworn that I saw a little Jew on the side of the interstate in the process of building a boat and collecting animals, two at a time. Got back to the track on Saturday and it was rain, dry the track, rain, dry the track, it was rain dry the track and more rain. At least going back to the motel it was dry on the interstate and took us 26 minutes. Arrived back Sunday and they went right into the Jeg’s race. They wrapped it up around 1pm. They called Stock to the lanes and we all got one shot at the track, ran good enough to qualify number 2. Put a dial in on the window and went for round 1, was lucky to get the stripe. when I got back to the truck I handed it to my bride (aka crew chief) and she looked at it and asked me if I had looked at it. I noticed that her eyes were as big as manhole covers. She said, you had a reaction time of .000. They are as rare as Frog’s hair. Ran a 13.85. Dialed a 13.84 and went up for round 2 against Lynn Smith (a great racer). Our reaction times were within .001 so it was off to the races. 30 feet from the stripe I could not see his front bumper so decided to try out the new Willwood’s. They worked great. I gave it away. I went a 13.88. Later I checked the incremental times and I would have run at 13.84 with a .004. I will never do that again. I will drive that sucker out the back door and let the other guy deal with breaking out. That was a good time. Want to do it all over again at Indy. However, want to be number 1 and want to go further than the second round. See you there. SARGE.

Did you go in the tower and get your Jegs gift card for your reaction time?
This was a great race
the track tried everything to get these races done and did a very successful job.
I for one was very happy with everything they did

Noah is pissed. He's building a Hudson Stock eliminator entry to race you. He's calling the car "the barge". Money's no object.

Default Kelly

Sorry for the Faux Pas. I hope you can forgive an Octogenarian who is in the Spring time of his senility. Looking forward to saying sorry in person at Indy. You go girl.
