In my opinion if the payout structures for the sportsman classes are going to change there will need to be title sponsors.
Such as Big Bucks Corporation Super Stock Eliminator and Little but Rich Co Stock Eliminator. NHRA has bigger fish to fry so I think t would be up to well connected racers past or present to do something. I don't know the history of Constant Aviation becoming the title sponsor for the Factory Stock Shootout series but that is an example of what I am talking about. What Roger Brogdon is doing is a good example as well. Although it is just for individual races the Top Fuel Harley guys have arranged for sponsorship at I think four races so far in 2021. They raced at Atlanta for a trophy. |
