"Some of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series champs also clinched their championships; Doug Gordon in Top Alcohol Dragster, Megan Meyer Alcohol Funny Car, Craig Bourgeois in Comp, Bryan Worner Super Stock, Chris Todd Super Comp, Mike Boehner Super Gas, Darien Boesch Top Sportsman, Aaron Stanfield in Factory Stock and Randal Handras in Top Fuel Harley. There’s still one more Lucas Oil divisional race to be run this weekend in Vegas which will put an exclamation point to what has been a very weird year."

Super Gas is still up for grabs. NHRA doesn’t have the points correct on their webpage. The sportsnationals still need to be completed which was started befor the Vegas national. Due to this, some racers points from the Vegas race are being counted but will actually not count once the sportsnationals are counted.
Also, it is Chris Dodd as the super comp champ and not Chris Todd. |

Sorry for any miscommunication on naming the champions. It would be nice if NHRA Media Dept would keep us aware of the points implications like they do with the pros; that might be asking too much though. And also blame sticky fingers on the Chris Dodd spelling. LOL
