Thoughts on Racing trip
We flew back to Tn yesterday and I had some thoughts about the last few weeks.
Those of you that didn't go to the Medford points race missed out on a well preped track and friendly people it was a great race with a 40 dollar test and tune that got me 8 runs and could have run more. Those of you that skipped Medford to go to Woodburn must have rocks in your head! Traction was non existant some of the track people I talked to said nothing has been done to track surface in over 15 years. the second round of SS qualifying I saw only 3 cars make it down under power and Dino Kost made a great save on his car to avoid a crash. I will not be back to this venue unless it is updated!! The Denver race was a great experience. It took me 3 passes to get a handle on the altitude but managed to go 1.155 under. The pits are a long way from the starting line but track prep was superb. One glitch NHRA didn't have the class finalist stickers....how could that happen? We met some real nice people a special thank you to Karen Hilton. Overall the car ran well but the driver was terrible.
