Default Florida over length permit

Are the permits still needed? I thought I saw some where that they weren't needed any longer. Thanks Robbie

Robbie, I have seen nothing that says you no longer need the permit. I just buy the annual permit, inexpensive and easy to get. Mike McMahan

Anything over 65' I'm 67' and been getting them for the last 5 years. Its cheap insurance, the fine if caught is pretty steep.

Called FDT yesterday asked what the limit was and was told 68'. I remeasured my rig and it's 68"4" . The chances of having a problem over 4" are slim at best but that would be my luck just to easy to get the permit
