I headed to Atco today to put a few laps on my street car. The weather was perfect, 65 with a bar of 30.40 and no wind. The only issue was the track was not very good. There was 4 lanes of street cars, it was just a test and tune day for anything. I thought most would be shopping, and I could have some fun, man was I wrong, the place was jammed. There was 6 S/SS cars there. Angelo Ditocco was there driving a Stocker and his Super Stock. On one run hey shook harder than I have ever seen a Super Stocker shake. You can't tell from the photo, but it was horrible.
The 65 L/SA Mustang is driven by Jeff Lawrence, its a new combo he just finished. He will be doing double duty next season. The first run on the car he went a 12.30. I saw Doc Horn in his 67 E/S GTX, Kenny Van Gorp in his SS/GA Camaro, Stan Giermanski in his B/SA Nova and Jeff Bardekoff in his B/SA Fury. I did not stay long, there was just to may cars there, it was no fun, so I headed out.. It was nice to see some race cars, its going to be along winter. |

It's the middle of November and you guys are still racing?
It was nice here too today but a bunch colder and the track has been closed a month and a half already. Nice pix, the Jeff Lawrence Mustang is interesting, is that rated 225 by NHRA? |

Thanks for the pictures
Great bunch of racers, best to stay clear of that DiTocco/Van Gorp group however. My sources say they are a bad bunch! ![]() What a great way to spend black friday, and 30.50 Barometer. Best wishes to all!

The barometer was indeed unusually good unfortunately the track was unusually bad.

Look at the lettering on the left rear tire of the #1515 silver Mustang. It looks completely different in the staging lanes and during the burn out. I can imagine one side stretching, but how did the opposite side shrink? Did they change the tire between shots?

I've never noticed that weird tire lettering size thing on any of my pictures, now I'll have to look to see. I usually let the autofocus do it's thing.

Optical illusion. Look at wheels of cars on highway, sometimes they look like they're going slowly backwards or not moving at all. Somebody should use tire chalk to mimic the lettering on Jeff's car.
