Indy wifi ?
Can someone tell me if there is likely to be Wi-Fi at the track during the US Natls?

Not likely.....all the tower internet & NHRA connections require a PW. Sometimes you can pick up some WIFI on the manufacturers midway if you know people.
I always come to the track prepared with my Verizon aircard. |

Good luck trying to get any reception from friday thru monday.
I had a Verizon MIFI card and IPAD connecting thru AT&T... and getting connected at the INDY National is super spotty (Too many people with the same idea).

Unfortunately most tracks are way behind the times. Silver Dollar Raceway in little 'ol Reynolds GA, in the middle of nowhere has had WiFi for many years! Jim

I had good luck with my virgin mobile pay as you go internet for my laptop when i was there 2 or 3 years ago. I only use virgin mobile for that purpose, bought the usb stick and for 50 bucks you get a months use or you can buy less, even a day at a time. I think they use sprints towers.
