Dan just has a way of turning on win lights. He uses math that most humans could not comprehend.

Someone posted the ET wrong, should have been 11.027, not 11.127.

Thanks for the info; I suspected that the posted ET was wrong. Dan missing his dial by .127 just doesn't happen!

Superfan1,
Read Mark F description of what really happened. Fletch often puts the last digit on the window while buckled up inside the car, he got the 9 backwards this time but he caught the the mistake before pre-staging and it was fixed in the tower except for DRC's info.

It ain't the math. It is the "Stripe Grabber" device with cloaking capabilities. He must have the Deluxe model. I am figuring that if Dan was actually trailing by .074 when Faul crossed the stripe, that Fletcher' "Stripe Grabber" was extended a minimum of 20 feet while being cloaked to get the win light. It worked so good that all 9 people in the stands never saw a thing and couldn't provide an eye witness account of the race as the "Stripe Grabber" Deluxe model also wipes the short term memory of any person within range. Now I do realize that of those 9 people in the stands, that 4 or 5 of them had probably been drinking and it wouldn't have much mattered what was racing or who really won. Those 4 or 5 were impaired prior to the race, so for that, we can't blame Dan, Mark or the timing system.

The straight scoop....
Dan was dialed 11:0P which was supposed to be 11.09, but when he dialed from the inside of the car he had it backwards. The tower saw 11.00 because they didn't have a P digit and the leg below the circle was short and looked like a zero. So he got the starters attention and they changed it to 11.09. He took the stripe by .016 and kicked my butt |

Ya mean a backwards P is not a 9 ??
Sorry Mark, but that may be the funniest story yet this year. P plus 9 = .016 new math.......... |
