Default Trans brake issues

Trans brake works fine before warm up. After 1 or two times in reverse the plunger wont move unless i put a little pressure on it with my finger. After the car cools down and not running it seems to work every time in reverse or with the button. We had a solenoid out of another tranny and it does the same thing. Possible 2 bad solenoids or something else????? We checked voltage and its fine.

Have you checked the ground? You say you checked the voltage, did you check it at a time it wasn't working properly? Is the wiring sufficient for the amperage it may need?

I'm with Chuck on this one, I ground my solenoid to the battery, so I would check the ground or try running a jumper wire to ground the solenoid.

I think the guys are on the right track with the power and grounds. Let me add, what type of delay box do you have. I had a similar problem chased it all season. Tbrake would hold fine get to first round and it would not hold. Turns out I had one of the first mega 450 boxes. They had bad output drivers. once it heated up it would not provide enough amps to hold the brake. sent it back to digital delay they fixed no charge. good luck

The voltage is the same when it works or doest. Im gonna try the ground to the batt.... Its been working fine for years, After getting the trany back from freshing it started acting up. Its a 350 box. we checked voltage at the box and it stays the same.

voltage may show the same, but the AMPERAGE is what will hold the solenoid in, try it with a new 12 ga. wire direct from the battery.

Thanks for all the replys. It seems to be 2 bad noids. We got the new one in this morning and from the jump it had a better, stronger "snap" than the other 2. Only had enough fuel for 1 good warm up but it worked every time after getting hot.
