I am breaking my own rule about discussing something here besides stock/superstock.
Just saw a picture of Greg Anderson's new "Camaro" give me a F&^$%$#king break!

Dan, thank you, I'm not the only one thinking that way. What is it? A submarine or did the nitrous bottle blow up inside of it. NHRA pull in the reigns a little. Cars should look like a car. I'm sure no one is rushing to his local GM dealership to buy a Camaro because they saw Anderson's Camaro. I'm glad to see the new COPO Camaros and even Martel's Super Stocker but please just add pro-stock with the pro-mod class.CR

Looks as real as anything NASCAR cup or NHRA AA/FC does.

And there-in lies the problem.

It just ain't real anymore.

I'm the one in the stands when the Stock and Super Stock cars are on the track.

Hope to make it to No Problem sometime this weekend.

I think they are all the same template, and there maybe only one camaro body approved, keep in mind that the camaro is probably the worst car aero wise of the bodies used in prostock. So they try to come up with a body that looks like a camaro and goes thru the wind as good as the others. This is not new to prostock.

After saying that, I don't like it either, but I also understand it is the way to get these cars on the track, otherwise, they would never be competitive

Talking Re: Off Topic

IF the rumor comes true that Mopar will be fielding the Challenger against the Mustang and Camaro in P/S, think how much "massaging" it will need to not be a huge pig.

Thanks for the post - I see I was not the only one thinking that

I thought it looks just like his old car - why is that a Camaro

Different painted on grill and head lights?

I guess to make it competitive areodynamically they all need to be a "car of the future" like there brothers in NASCAR

It would have to look better than a Stratus/Avenger with painted lines to represent the rear doors or a ...Mopar really needs to get the PS Challenger approved, and while they are at it get Jeggie some HP from the Johnson clan.

Dave I can appreciate their problems but when does enough mean enough. When all your fans just look at them as another type of funny cars that has nothing close to what the manufacturer sells in their showroom. Nascar is changing the car of tomorrow today because Ford wanted a car that fans could compare to theirs. CR
