Cool Irwindale?

Anybody know anything about Irwindale? All kinds of stories out there,no new schedule posted. Nothing seems to be definite.

Cool Re: Irwindale?

Glad to have you along,Eddie. Enjoyed the breakfast, too. Thanks a lot. When you set at a table with a bunch of racers, nuggets of worthwhile info do seem to abound. Questions usually result from having learned something, which results in more questions. The only stupid question was the one you didn't ask.

IT showed that Tony was a "no show", did the convertor go away?

Mike sends: As of Friday night, the gates are padlocked and forklifts are moving things around. It came as a shock to Bob Klein, the strip manager, who wasn't told anything when he left work--he found out from a racer. He doesn't know if his job is gone or...??

Greg, this doesn't sound good!

Very sad news indeed. Is it just the state of the ecomony or what? There are
no housing tracs nearby to complain about noise like what happened to OCIR
and Lions Dragstrips.

Guess I'll keep the license plates on my Duster for now.

Yep. I guess when I blew up that 327 at Irwindale last June, it damaged the sprag in the converter. We should have tested the car at Fontana last weekend, we would have found it and either fixed it or used another car. Its possible that if he attempted another run, additional damage could have ensued . This development with Irwindale isn't too nice because we went there to test occasionally. The Summit races were with a real nice crowd and gave us some real good seat time, as well. Hope there is a resolution to this one.
