Default Memorial Day and Drag Racing

Thanksgiving is for giving thanks for what we have, Memorial day is for thanking those who gave all they had so we can have what we want..

Thank you to all the men and women who have served and currently serve our country.

We live in the greatest country in the world because of you. The United States of America.

Let us never forget........

Memorial Day

by- C W Johnson

We walked among the crosses
Where our fallen soldiers lay.
And listened to the bugle
As TAPS began to play.
The Chaplin led a prayer
We stood with heads bowed low.
And I thought of fallen comrades
I had known so long ago.
They came from every city
Across this fertile land.
That we might live in freedom.
They lie here 'neath the sand.
I felt a little guilty
My sacrifice was small.
I only lost a little time
But these men lost their all.
Now the services are over
For this Memorial Day.
To the names upon these crosses
I just want to say,
Thanks for what you've given
No one could ask for more.
May you rest with God in heaven
From now through evermore.

Thanks, Joe and Larry -

This was the first Memorial Day in 35 years that I wasn't in uniform, and it felt really strange. Despite all the long hours, times away from home and multiple deployments it was still the best job in the world! G-d bless America!
