Default Thoughts and Prayers to the Blankenship Family (loss of Mrs Shirley Blankenship)

Just recieved word that wife of IHRA official Hank Blankenship, Shirley Blankenship (also an IHRA officail) who worked the lic and membership trailer at most events, passed away last night of a heart attack. She was a tough woman and will be missed by many. Please keep Hank in your prayers. They were ALWAYS together.

OMG...

I just can't believe it...

I always enjoyed visiting with Shirley at every IHRA race I went to. She was a pistol.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Hank.

We're thinking of you Hank, and you'll be missed, Shirley.

I always enjoyed trying to make Shirley smile, particularly when she looked like she didn't want to. It won't be the same going to the trailer.

God Bless and God Speed,

That's a shock! She was a special member of the IHRA family.

I just saw Shirley at the Buds Creek points race and got my usual hugs. My thoughts and prayers go out to Hank. I always considered both of them as family. I will miss seeing her smiling face. Terry Bell

Very sorry to hear this.

Shirley was a very nice and friendly person. Fun to talk to.

Part of the reason you always felt welcome at an IHRA race.

Condolenes to Hank.
