Woods and brother Bernie Woods campaigned match races during the 1960's and early 1970's. Woods qualified for and NHRA AA/FC license in 1968 signed by Rodger Lindamood, Don Garlits and Don Kohler, only to have the association revoke the license, saying, "it's too dangerous for a woman to run in that class."[citation needed] Losing the license cost the brother sister team to lose several match racing engagements, provoking Woods to call the NHRA and inform them that if they took her license they would have to take the all female drivers' licenses as well.

Boy you are old. LOL
I remember that corvette well, she was often pitted near me. At first it was Lou and Judy Lilly, Then Dennis Maur started helping them with the car and it was Lou, Judy, and Dennis. Then it became Dennis and Judy and Lou stopped coming to the races. But I don't think Judy was a pro. |

Who has the longest lasting NHRA membership and still races.
45 yrs of racing and still counting!!!!!! But was never a professional driver. Just a note though....... Barb Hamilton Shirley Shayhan Judy Lilly Mary Ann Jackson, And never forget the great late Mrs Chandler of IHRA Stock Eliminator fame. plus the pro drivers, Della Woods, Shay Nicholls, Shirley Muldowney, Paula Murphy, Bunny Burkett all paved the way for the "New" class of female drivers out there.
