Live from Sonoma LODRS
Well, I'll start this. Maybe Toby, or someone equally as qualified, will pick it up from here. I have no camera or video. I stay pretty close to my RV so not sure how much gossip I'll pick up! lol
My hubby, Don Little & I arrived here around 11. As we're not attending the national event next weekend (I'm so over those!) we are parked in the pro pits. Asphalt, walking distance to starting line, one row over from the driver's lounge (full shower in the morning, not the RV, conserve the water shower!) Tech was quick and we've had a relaxing day. After dinner Don & I went on our traditional walk of the road coarse here. It's a 1.5 mile walk, with 2 climbs. One, in particular, I call Mt. Sonoma. I swear it feels like I'm having a heart attack walking up that thing! We burned off our dinner calories, for sure. As the pits are literally all along the road coarse it's hard to get a perspective of how many cars are here. Both Don & I think there are less cars than last year. Activities start up tomorrow at 8:30. Stock is out 2nd, SS 4th. The weather looks to be nice all weekend, highs in the 80's. As is typical here, the wind comes up in the afternoon. It's always always interesting dialing in for afternoon runs.

Our golf cart almost didn't make it up Mt. Sonoma. Thanks for reporting and good luck!

Jack,
I'll be there Saturday with my camera in tow. Helmet & fire-jacket? In the closet. Being a grown-up sucks sometimes! LOL

Re: Live from Sonoma LODRS
Stock has their two runs in for the day, SS will be up soon. We are supposed to have one run only tomorrow, so people arriving late today will have to have their act together in the morning.
Weather is gorgeous. A slight tail wind was coming up as we were making our 2nd runs. We were down for track cleanup midway through the first session. Don Wann had valve cover gasket issues but he was able to run the 2nd session. Only one hemi car here. Dave Raybourne had to lift. I failed fuel check after the first run. Seems one of my cans of C-11, which I keep stored at Dad's shop, had been contaminated with some C-25. Hmmmm... So we drained everything, put in new fuel and all is right again. I politely told Dad not to touch my stuff! lol We've nothing left to do the rest of the day, so we're just hanging out. Don & I will walk Mt. Sonoma again tonight. If that was in my backyard I'd be in fantastic shape in no time! My kids, their spouses & my parents will be here tomorrow. Dad hasn't been to the track in a few years. My 22-month old granddaughter likes all things that go vroom vroom so we'll see how she likes her Nana's race car!
