Default Congrats to Steve Foley!

Congrats to my New Friend and Christian Brother
Steve Foley.

He flew out here last week and ran my '71 Demon that he
had never seen - Let alone driven. It is a far cry from
his late model Camaro.

He got in and ran it 4 Rounds at the Division 7 Race
last Weekend in a strange car at a new track he had
never seen before!

As they say on Street Outlaws = Much Respect!!!

Steve is indeed a fine young man and great racer, even married into a great racing family. Raced with his Mom and Dad for many years in Tennessee and watched him grow up. Sure he caused some anxiety with the points leader (Missy Phillips) when they saw him running in Vegas. The man belongs in a MOPAR but guess when you race with the Warren family you have to wear a different suit. BTW his wife finished second in TD Div 2 standings while sorting out a new car.

I met Steve at VMP LODRS. He beat me second round, in a double breakout. Nice guy. His wife runs in Top Dragster.

Steve lost 4th Round heads up when they shortened
the race to 1/8 Miles by a couple hundred!

My car runs on a two step and it bogged like crazy because
we got it too cold. Steve runs on a foot brake and the
carb does not work worth a darn like that = as I never
foot brake! 1/8 Mile does not leave you much room to
catch up. Normally I would not be scared of any of my E/SA
Buds even thou many of them are Rocketships. It was my screw up
and my over confidence that bit us in the B*tt!

Steve was driving plenty good enough to have a shot of winning the
race and therefore winning his division! I think if he had won the 4th Round
Heads Up that might have been enough to win the Division back there.

Foley is a great guy that we have enjoyed getting to know the last couple of years. He's a good racer too. I hope you got chance to hear some of his bracket racing stories! Kudos to you as well John for allowing him to drive your car.

Appreciate the kind words. Really had a great time out weat, esp. Being able to share the venture with my wife. She never had been out that way. Proud of her for her second place finish and thanks to John and John Jr for helping me out. Also big thanks to Chad Langdon for making some calls for us. I've been blessed in the racing world. My parents taught me alot, always kept me a good car and what can I say. I just a regular ole bracket burner. All the Warrens at Warren Engines and my father in law Jeff has helped me a ton. No way i would be were I'm at without them and Jeff. Glory to God! Look forward to what 2021 brings! Again thanks. And no i didn't tell to many stories. Don't know if they was ready for that yet. Lol
